ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on On Friday, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) ordered restore the ARY news broadcast.
On Thursday, PEMRA suspended transmission of Ahri News for three days. Plaintiff Shah Khalid together with advocate Kashif Ali Malik appeared before the IHC in a business.
IHC while ordering immediate recovery of ARY News Broadcast instructed the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority to appoint an officer to visit the ARY newsroom and evolve “time delay mechanism”.
The court has also notification sent to PEMRA for Monday and requested a response from regulatory body.

PEMRA claimed that suspension orders were issued against ARY News and BOL News. in view of absence of effective “time delay mechanism”.
It is appropriate to mention here that ARY News used a “time delay mechanism” during PTI’s Gujranwala broadcast. public rally, but it was targeted again by PEMRA.
Federal Union of Pakistan of Journalists (PFUJ) announced to challenge PEMRA moves against ARY news and BOL news in Islamabad High Court (IHC).
PFUF condemns suspension of News broadcast by ARY
Federal Union of Pakistan of Journalists (PFUJ) strongly condemned the suspension of ARY News, calling it “an unfortunate act.”
Speaking to ARY News program Bahabar Savera, PFUJ President Afzal Butt called the suspension of channel transmission “unfortunate act”, saying that coalition government illegally blocked the channel for four times.
He also criticized the federal government, saying that the ruling coalition issued a notice after the channel was suspended. “The channel was not given chance clarify your position,” he said. added.
