I can confirm Imran Khan sold Toshakhan gifts in Dubai: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Friday that former Prime Minister Imran Khan took gifts worth 140 million rupees from Toshahana and sold them in Dubai.

“I can confirm that imran khan took gifts from Toshakhany and sold them in Dubai for 140 million rupees. Valuable gifts include diamond jewelry, bracelets, watches and sets,” he said.

Prime Minister Shahbaz said he also once received a watch that he deposited in Toshakhan.

“I do not need hide something,” he said. added.

It is pertinent to note that PTI government did not want share details about gifts saved from Toshakhana.

Earlier it was reported that an investigation had been launched. against former prime minister Imran Khan, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for sell a precious necklace from Toshahana, causing losses national Treasury Department.

The report claimed that the necklace had been sold to a jeweler. in Lahore via Zulfi Bukhari for 180 million rupees, and this is only a fraction of that amount was paid to Toshahane.

In response to the allegations, Buhari said that there was no truth in sales reports of necklace.

Talking to Geo Newshe said that there had never been any talk about the necklace, and the accusations were unfounded and groundless.

Fawad admits that Imran sold the watch

Responding to accusations former information minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Imran Khan bought the watch from government which was received as gift from a foreign country.

“I don’t understand what’s really issue of Shahbaz, he asked, saying that [the premier] confused because he can’t understand how press charges against Imran Khan.

Speaking with private channel, Fawad said that no matter what price of watch “if it’s mine, I can sell this watch to anyone should there is problem with This is.”

former minister Said advised Prime Minister Shahbaz to refrain from superficial gossip and focus on national questions.
