Hilary Nelson body found after the death of an American skier during an expedition to Nepal

On Wednesday, Morrison said in instagram post that she and Nelson went skiing down from the top of Manaslu will join his Sherpa team when 49-year-old “started small avalanche”.

she was noticed off her feet and carried down narrow snow slope, Morrison added in in the post and he found her body on Wednesday after two days of searching for her by helicopter.

“I did everything I could to find her, but I couldn’t down in face how I hoped to find her alive and live my life with her,” he wrote, calling Nelson “the most inspiring person ever.” in life.”

“My loss is indescribable and I am focused on her children and them steps forward” added Morrison, describing Nelson as “my life partner, my love, my best friend and my mountain partner.”

Nelson posted on Instagram last week post about challenges of ride along with Pictures of expedition.

“I didn’t feel like this sure-legged on Manaslu like mine on past adventure into a rarefied atmosphere of high Himalayas,” she wrote, mentioning bad weather which annoys climbers in last days.

“These past weeks have tested my resilience in new way.”

Morrison also posted on Instagram last saying for a week: “We went up tall and trying hard but the mountain said no. With our tails between our legs, we jumped out of camp 3 and head down(on skis)”.

Nelson was a pioneer in mountaineering community and role model to new generation of climbers.

She had made first descents through more more than 40 expeditions world and was named captain of North Face Athlete Team in 2018.

In 2012 she became first famous woman climb in the world highest summit, Everest and also neighboring mountain, Lhotse, in 24 hours.

She continued to explore the world mountains, often with Morrison, and pushed the boundaries of what is expected in Sport.
