Governor Opens Free Food and Water Filtration Station at Multan Railway Station

MULTAN: Punjab Governor Muhammad Balig Ur Rahman on Free food outlet open on Friday for porters (Qulees) and two water filtration units at Multan railway station.

Speaking at post-opening ceremony, the governor said the recent floods big challenge for a country that not only provided almost four million people homeless, but also influenced national economy.

Such difficult situations demand humane attitude of society in to help of restless communities, he said and praised on famous industrialist Khawaja Jalaluddin Rumi for adding free food, rations and clean drinking water at the station in continuation of his social service activity.

Punjab governor commends Pakistan army and disaster relief agencies for playing en active role in the rescue people stuck in flood zones and assistance to them.

Balig Ur Rahman held benefactors in great respect for their quick response in support of in people who suffered huge losses in floods.

He said the floods also train traffic has been suspended left Qulees with no means of earning and added free ration for Backstage was step in right direction.

Khawaja Jalaluddin Rumi said that the establishment would serve 300 coolies daily free of charge and promised to continue charitable activities within the Rumi Foundation.

Rumi said foundation was also daily free lunch at Fatima Jinnah and DHQ hospitals in Multan and added what is the chiller water filtration plant also to be made operate at the Khaneval railway station for a month.

Formerly Chief of Multan Railways Department division Hammad Hasan Mirza stated that the Multan Railways provided rations for 1,000 people. flood hit families, in addition to medical care, 3,000 victims.

Governor of Punjab also distributed rations among the coolies of Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Nawab and Lodran railway stations.
