FAISALABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah warns Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of “terrible consequences” if its workers violated law and order or resorted to violence during a party meeting on 13 August in Islamabad.
Speech at a press conference in Faisalabad on On Monday, Sanaullah said it was a constitutional right of PTI workers stage peaceful protests, but added what government will deal with them with iron fist, “if they use violence or tried to blackmail government”.
He also reminded PTI of suppression on its workers and leaders during a long May 25 march to Islamabad, saying that this time the consequences would be “serious”.
PTI last a week announced hold a rally in Islamabad parade ground on the day before of Independence Day in which the former prime minister as well as party Chief Imran Khan will announce next plan of transaction action against in coalition government led by PML-N.
Interior minister also accused Imran-led party of launching a malicious campaign on social media following the helicopter crash in which the six army officers, including the commander of the Quetta Corps, Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, were martyred during flood relief operation in Balochistan.
“All the people stand next to the martyrs of pakistani army, i salute all martyrs, those who spread negative propaganda against the army has been misled, and such dirty campaigners have been identified,” he said.
