ISLAMABAD: The federal government approved the Rs 8.28 trillion Ramzan aid package to provide subsidies on 19 essential items at Utility Stores Corporation (USC).
Sources said the government would provide a grant of Rs 2.534 billion on atta, Rs750 million on sugar, subsidy Rs4.050 billion on clarified butter, grant of Rs 300 million on oil, Rs30 million on from the chana, Rs10 million on from the washed moong, Rs5 million on from washed mash, Rs30 million on daal masroor, Rs50 million on white gram, Rs50 million on baisen, Rs 20 million on dates, Rs 25 million on rice basmati, Rs 10 million on rice saddle, 36 million rupees on routes receRs15 million on crushes, Rs40 million on pumpkins and syrups, 125 million on black tea, Rs 50 million on milk and Rs50 million on spices.
The ministry of Industries and manufacturing reported that the ECC was held on On Monday that USC extended Ramzan’s relief package as approved by government through his network, with a special focus on the poor and needy since 1991.
Historically, nineteen essential items they were sold at discounted prices at USC outlets in all of Pakistan. Furthermore, USC also negotiate better discounts from suppliers and it was in able to offer reduced prices on Other more of 1,000 items.
Since Ramzan Relief Package is a regular features customers expect special discounted prices at USC outlets during Ramzan, which leads to a sharp increase in trampling by customers.

The ECC has been informed that it is expected that more customers will head to USC outlets to get better prices than open market given the inflationary pressure in 2022, which will be drive up USC sales.
The ministry also informed the ECC that the USC is now equipped with POS systems through its network. There is full transparency and traceability of every transaction.
This is a significant one development which will greatly improve efficiency and control and minimize cases of black marketing.
