Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Attaullah Tarar on Punjab said on Tuesday government decided to withdraw the notification of land acquisition of 6500 channels in Mianwali at Namal University.
Speaking at a press conference here at 96-H Model Town, he said that Imran Khan has purchased 6,500 channels of shamlat land. in Mianwali for Namala, without paying local residents a fee for the land, adding that this land is located in front of lake.
He said that this land was acquired for the purpose of using for personal purpose, adding that former prime minister Imran Khan abused his powers for the acquisition of this land.
Ataullah Tarar said that Imran Khan also purchased land for about 8,000 canals for Shukat Khanum Hospital from what was then Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in 90s, adding that in 80s, Imran Khan also applied to the Director General of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) for receiving of plot for place of residence, since he claimed that he had no personal residence in the country.
He claimed that Imran Khan belonged to Mianwali, so he purchased this land on the shores of Shamlat Lake. for personal use, adding that Imran Khan never declared his source of income at home or abroad.
When asked, he said: “Hamza Shahbaz is the chief minister of Punjab and will continue as CM”.
On another question, he said that PML-N had submitted an application to the Anti-Corruption Institution (ACE). against former main minister Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar to check it out assets of about 10 billion
