Pakistan managed to get decent 18th job title in recently concluded Commonwealth Games 2022 after receiving total of eight medals, including two precious gold ones. Unfortunately, we still have a long time way from the top of a table where kiwis sit comfortably with They have 178 medals, including 67 gold ones. These star athletes and competitors is there some more again pointed out that our country is not short on talent, skill and perseverance. But, like previous years, their troubles remain same. Many had to overcome difficulties just participate; many of them are raw talent without proper training or resources; and many had to travel for personal expenses.

Sports federations and government institutions in Pakistan is failed to support to manage and support these world class athletes who constantly performed at the highest level for country. They need to be taught, trained and turned into professional athletes. But mismanagement prevails as Pakistan Boxing Federation recently reported missing of two national Boxers from Birmingham a few days after the conclusion of in games. Might be under investigation, but it doesn’t take long to establish the possibilities of why did this happen. In any case, officials should more vigilant given that many athletes have never had international exposure before.
