LAHORE: Minister for Agriculture, Punjab Syed Hussein Jahaniya Gardezi led first meeting in Lahore in review Production strategy of in next wheat harvest.
Speaking to the audience, Gardezi called for ensuring production indicators of wheat for next harvest and assignment of field personnel for perform them duty of informing farmers about modern production technology.
The provincial minister directed that standardized agricultural inputs be provided to farmers and instructed the Director General of Agriculture (expansion) to hold a meeting. with authorities of irrigation department for availability of water channel for farmers at that time of sowing wheat. He claimed that he would personally oversee the sowing process of wheat and in In this regard, he instructed to organize a meeting of mega-farmers at the level of districts and districts.
Syed Hussain Jahaniya Gardezi said there is need inform farmers about non-cultivated varieties of wheat harvest to farmers use only proven varieties of wheat seeds, which can increase the yield per acre. Provincial Minister of Agriculture also drawn up special Committee for ensuring production indicators of wheat that will frame strategy for achieve production targets, so wheat production can be increased.
