SUV reaches its fifth generation with the new design of the South Korean brand
Kia revealed the first official images of the new Sportage showing how the brand’s medium SUV goes to the fifth generation gain a much more muscular design with emphasis on the front section and how it will evolve in the interior, where a large screen is also gaining the most attention.
With a dedicated edition in Exclusively for the European market and scheduled for launch in September, the new Sportage takes inspiration from the EV6 electric crossover, coming with the aim of updating its 28-year tradition with the new brand identity presided over by the ‘Opostos Unidos’ design philosophy, which in this vehicle, there is a preponderance in the dynamism between surfaces that breathe a real tension in the lines with others of a simple lightness.

The assertion of the new visual identity is made right from the start with the personality of the new grille across the entire width of the front, giving it a volume that is outlined by the headlights and by daytime running lights in the shape of a boomerang above the pronounced bumper. If the profile refers to agility, the rear again shows muscle in the bumper below the ‘sharp’ lights in a transformation that debuts the option for the black roof as a second color.
The interior displays between the ventilation outlets a driver-oriented dashboard with a large curved touchscreen designed to offer the features of its technology in the most intuitive way possible. With the promise of high-quality materials, Kia has designed space for front occupants to feel like a shell of functionality and versatility.
