Freeway 405 closed in Sepulveda Pass, stranded drivers for Clock – NBC Los Angeles

Police investigation shut down highway 405 in Sepulveda Pass on Thursday morning, stranded drivers for hours who need to get to work Los Angeles, school and more.

According to wire reports, the CHP shot and killed the man around 2:50 a.m., but the CHP did not confirm any other details. Red Ford Mustang on in side of highway and objects on the lanes were what the officers focused on on how they asked stretch of motorway with cars lined up up for miles in place.

The backup was extensive on 405 South on Skirball Center Drive. Backup copy extended all way back to Highway 118.

All stripes were shut down but north side started move slowly just until 5 am

Southbound traffic was changed to Valley Vista.

Alternative routes

Sepulveda is possible an alternative route, but it gets busier by the minute.

Another possible alternatives are 170 South, Laurel Canyon, or Coldwater Canyon.

It was not clear when will SigAlert be clear. The lanes were still shut down as of 9 am

Los Angeles International Airport officials said the FlyAway bus service that takes passengers from Van Nuys to the airport is delayed by at least 90 minutes.
