Freelance FBI officer brought in in Shooting on DC-295: Authorities – NBC4 Washington

An off-duty An FBI officer was involved in shooting on DS-295 on Saturday, the FBI confirmed.

Although call came in for shooting at the crossroads of Hayes Street and Kenilworth Avenue NE, shooting occurred on DC-295 around 13:30 for en unknown reason. There were no reports of casualties or arrests, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Traffic Center WTOP reports that northbound DC-295 is closed between Pennsylvania Avenue SE and Burroughs Avenue NE, and that “southbound travelers should plan for rubber delays.

More details about what the FBI called the “shooting involving an FBI cop” were not provided immediately.
