Former SC justice Bakar is considered for Chairman of the NAB post

ISLAMABAD:

federal government considers the name of former Supreme Court Justice Maqbool Bakar for position of Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

BUT senior government functionary said Express Tribune on Saturday when a retired Supreme Court Justice was considered together with the other judge is retired (retired) Dost Muhammad Khan.

judge Bakar, who left his post on April 4 is considered an independent judge.

While Bakar’s candidacy enjoys unanimous support from the upper bars, senior lawyers fear that powerful circles and parts of the judiciary may resist his appointment. this is also I thought that former ruling partyPakistani Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will object to the appointment.

However, the lawyer who is a part of PTI stated that Judge Bakar had “a very good reputation and is best candidate for in post”.

Previously Judge Bakar was among these judges. who ruled in service of Case of Judge Qazi Faez Isa on undocumented assets.
