First picture of “loving mother” who died after being ‘hit on car’ on Scots street as family to pay tribute

A pedestrian who died in road crash on Scot street was identified by the police as Suzanne Farrell.

62-year- the old one walked along Marionville Road in Meadowbank area of Edinburgh at 22:50 on Friday, May 6, before she was allegedly hit by a Vauxhall Zafira.

An ambulance took my mother to the Royal Infirmary. of Edinburgh but she was announced dead a day later.

Suzanne family described her as a “beautiful soul” in touching tribute.

Her daughter, Kerrianne Hutchison, thanked emergency services and nearby pedestrians for them help and support during the incident.

She said: “My mom was honestly the sweetest, kindest, most loving, caring, gentle and beautiful soul and enjoyed life.

“She is missed by everyone. who knew her. I’m broken by what happened, like the rest of in family and all friends who knew her.

“I will like say thank you to staff and customers of Hoppy bar where she was that night for them help and support. I wouldn’t have made it without them. And thanks to the emergency services.”

33-year-old man driver of the silver Vauxhall Zafira that was involved in in collision was arrested in connection with Incident.

He has since been released by officers pending further investigation, prompting public address for informationwitnesses and recordings from video recorders.
