Filipe Albuquerque wins at Laguna Seca and reinforces IMSA command

Portuguese driver teamed up with Ricky Taylor

Filipe Albuquerque won this Sunday the Laguna Seca race of the North American Endurance Championship (IMSA) and took a big step towards the title of champion in the main category (DPi) significantly reinforcing the first moonlight of the classification.

The Portuguese pilot teamed up with Ricky Taylor in the Acura #10 and it was really the teamwork that was at the base of this victory. Albuquerque followed up the pole position obtained the day before taking the lead and Taylor made up for it with a good final recovery of the race of 2h40 to obtain the third victory of the season .

The IMSA has two more rounds, scheduled for the end of this month in Long Beach and Road Atlanta in November for the 10-hour Petit Le Mnas.
