Federal aid not received as expected: Shaukat Yousafzai

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Press Secretary Shaukat Yousafzai on Sunday out at the federal government and said the infrastructure was more affected than in 2010 flood while KP government did not receive federal assistance as expected.
Speech at a press conference in Islamabad, Shaukat said 289 people have died so far, adding that more than 675,000 people homeless, 87,000 houses were destroyed.
“Chief Minister Mehmood Khan visited almost all areas affected by the disaster and met in people comforted them and led the relief work,” he added.
He said that there was a huge disaster due to the flood. in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but federation and prime minister were limited announcements. “Shehbaz Sharif announced 10 billion rupees, but no support was seen in any of rescue work, Shaukat added.
