Famous climber Ali Raza Sadpara passes a few weeks after suffering injuries from a fall – Pakistan

Famous Pakistani climber Ali Raza Sadpara died from his injuries. in Skardu early on Friday morning, a few weeks after the fall that left he is badly injured. He was 56 years old.

Climber seriously injured on May 17 when he slipped off cliff and fell into a ditch. He was rushed to the district hospital. in Skardu for treatment where doctors found his spinal cord was broken and his ribs were broken.

He started his career in 1986 and has the honor of climbing the 8000m peaks of Pakistan 17. times. Among his conquests were Broad Peak (8047m), Gasherbrum II (8035m), Gasherbrum I (8068m) and Nanga Parbat (8125m).

Apart from them, he climbed Sia Kangri, Baltoro Kangri and Spantik. He also coached the famous climber Ali Sadpar – who died on K2 – Hassan Sadpara and other climbers.

Fellow climbers, politicians, journalists and representatives of civil society expressed their condolences. with grieving family and described Ali Raza death as a “huge loss” for mountaineering.

Climber Sirbaz Khan, the only Pakistani who has climbed 10 mountains higher than 8000 m, said Ali Raza Sadpara, who spent his whole life in service of Pakistan. He said that Ali Raza raised the Pakistani flag. on 8000m peaks more times than any other climber.

Khan said the late climber coached a generation of highlanders, adding that his name was “ustaadon ka ustaad (teacher of teachers).

Luke Smithwick, American mountaineer and skier, shared a photo of Ali Raza on his Twitter, which he says was taken last summer while climbing Gasherbrum-II. “He was with another team but we all worked together on 8000 meter mountains how tops happen.”

Smithwick added that it was important that Sadpar be remembered by calling him “the humble master”, that climbed 8000 meter peaks several times.
