The Merseyside Police were called just after 12:40 on Sunday to house in Leinster Road and found woman with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

Senior Detective Superintendent Mark Kamin described it as “a shocking incident that led to death of a young woman”.

He added what the police are looking for anyone with information, private Video camera or video doorbell to check footage that may help police.

“We are particularly interested in finding anyone who saw vehicle drive erratically in in area around Prescott Road,” he said. added.
