EPC issues a preliminary delimitation of constituencies, reduces the number of seats in the National Assembly from 342 to 336

ISLAMABAD: Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday revised its National Assembly seats down from 342 to 336, showed tentative delineation of districts.

Number of general places in NA will decrease from 272 to 266, according to the ECP report.

Balochistan will have 16 general places in NA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will have 45 seats, Punjab 141, Sindh 61 and Islamabad will have three seats. seats of former tribal areas under federal administration were amalgamated with KP.

On the other hand, women will have 60 reserved seats and minorities will have 10 seats.

Constituency of the National Assembly in The KP was demarcated into 788,933 people, Islamabad 667,789, Punjab 780,069, Sindh 784,500 and Balochistan 77,946.

The KP National Agency will begin with Chitral from HA-1 to HA-45.

Seats from Islamabad will be NA-46 to NA-48 Punjab constituencies will be start from NA-49 Attock to NA-189 in Rajanpur.

Also Sindh below house places will start from NA-190 Jacobabad and continue to NA-250 Karachi. While Balochistan’s districts will be from NA-251 to NA-266.

Provincial Assembly Seats

There will be 65 seats in the Balochistan Assembly in total. out of what will 51 be general seats, Assembly CP will have 145 seats out of what will 115 be general places.

Punjab will have 371 seats. out of what will 297 general seats, while the Assembly of Sindh will have 168 seats. out of what will 130 be general places.

The ECP stated that the constituency of The CP assembly will consist of of 308,713 voters, Punjab Assembly 370,336, Sindh Assembly 368,112 and Balochistan Assembly 241,864.
