LAHORE: Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, former main minister of Punjab and ally of opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party accused the police of raid on his residence in Gujrat early Wednesday morning.
During the speech on Geo News program “Geo Pakistan” on On Wednesday, Elahi said the raid took place around 4:30 am and what women we also was present at the time at the residence.
According to him, the raid was carried out out caretaker government of Punjab – led by Mohsin Naqvi, media magnate who Elahi and former prime minister Imran Khan both blamed of Existence in collusion with Central government and military institution – and administration of Shahbaz Sharif.
Munis Elahi, his son and former federal minister, also weighed in, taking to Twitter to express his concern that the police carried out the raid without a warrant or any explicit cause.
He doubted the presence of 25 police vehicles including two black Vigos is a reference to vehicle traditionally used military and asked if they were looking for Indian intelligence agents.
