ECP verdict exposes PTI’s “purity” party’ narration: CO head Siraj – Pakistan

QUETTA: Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq on Wednesday said the ECP verdict exposed the so-called “clean” activities of the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf. party”narrative.

Speaking on the “Meet the Press” program of the Quetta Press Club, he said that his party It was already made it clear that PTI, PML-N and PPP were parties of the same coin. He said that it was not clear why the verdict in the foreign funding case was shelved for eight years. Was there a verdict announced until 2018 PTI would remain out of power said.

“I understand that political parties are not responsible until in power”, – said the head of JI.

He expressed regret over martyrdom of army officers and Javans in helicopter crash in Balochistan and named it national tragedy. He also expressed grief over loss of human lives and property in flood-hit areas of country and turned to people donate generously in relief activities launched by SO volunteers and Al-Khidmat Foundation.

He rejected the governments decision put on sale national institutions and organizations and announced it is his party would challenge privatization law in court. the government said he was determined to sell national assets at bargain prices on IMF pressure.

Instead of of delivery over national assets foreign companies and private persons, rulers must bring back their own wealth from their overseas companies and foreign banks in in best interest of nation, he said.

Mr Hack said decisions about fate of the country was made behind closed doors and ruling parties destroyed in economy and actually gave it over to global creditors.

JI leader said the rulers are still engaged in power politics, refusing even people devastated by floods throughout the country.
