Cyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in B1230 crash with parked van

Cyclist in hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries after crash with parked van on B1230 near Newland on Saturday.

Humberside Police filed an appeal after a cyclist who drove from Howden in in direction of Gilberdi, was involved in a crash with parked van.

emergency services, including air ambulance, were called to the B1230 at 13:00 on Saturday after crash. The police blocked the main road B1230. in in both directions between Long Lane (Balholme) and Greenock Lane.

A police spokesman said: “Yesterday shortly after 13:00 on B1230 near Newland (near Estrington), the cyclist was coming from Howden. in in direction of Gilberdyke when they were involved in collision with parked van.

“The cyclist received serious injuries incompatible with life. in in collision and we turn for help from anyone who maybe saw something that could help with our collision study of.

“If you were traveling on the B1230 Hull Road near Newland around the time of in collision and have a dash cam or seen anything that could help please call us on our non-emergency number 101 citing magazine 242 of May 7, 2022″.

Traffic at the scene was stopped until the police opened the road, which runs parallel to the M62 motorway, around 17:30.

So much like six police vehicles got into an accident and blocked the road.
