Customs Intelligence seizes Rs38.9 million smuggled laptops, Aircraft Engine Oil goods

ISLAMABAD: Customs confiscated contraband worth Rs 38.9 million including 3600 laptops, 2396 hours, 3 tons of cheese, 834 cartoons. of Aircraft engine oil, 190 boxes of Assorted nutritional supplements and 67 boxes of Cosmetics of Indian origin items.

According to anti-smuggling information team of Control of Intelligence and Investigations – Customs, Karachi on specific information provided by the Director General of Customs Intelligence, Faiz Ahmad, a huge amount of of smuggled goods dropped in complex near Rizviya Society, Scheme 33, Malir Karachi.

Sources said that the fight against smuggling team on 01/25/2023 around 11:00 hours chased two Mazda trucks and succeeded in intercepting both on Rashid Minhas Road.

All smuggled goods along with vehicles were delivered to the directorate. Detailed inventory of returned goods has been prepared. Value of smuggled goods amount to about 369 million rupees, and that of vehicles is 24 million rupees (total 38.9 crore rupees)

In the meantime, FIR has been filed and three people have been arrested and further investigations are underway. in progress.
