Cooperative learning of BRI countries conducted to promote industrial decarbonization

BEIJING: Joint training of BRI countries was carried out to promote industrial decarbonization, according to Gwadar Pro. on Thursday.

It was organized by the Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU) and the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECOSF). About 60 Belt and Road students countries including Pakistan participated in workout.

Training included policy and practice for low carbon transition in coal power cement, steel and chemical industries and other case studies.

On this occasion, Chinese experts, scientists and enterprise representatives presented cutting-edge technologies and successful cases of reducing carbon emissions and emissions in key industries to promote exchanges and mutual learning between belts and roads countries and meet together challenges.

Prof. Manzoor H. Soumro, President of The ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) confirmed the findings of leading Chinese experts, success stories and elements behind huge technological advance that China has made in achieve their climate goals.

China had announced in 2020 that by 2060 it will achieve “carbon neutrality” by making an outstanding contribution to international response to climate change.

Professor Soomro said that more such training would be very helpful for in participants and formation of major partnerships and connections of belt and road countries and ECO member countries, including Pakistan, towards a green growth technologies.

“The Green CPEC Alliance, launched earlier this month, indeed a significant initiative that will improve the environmental conditions around projects and initiatives. It’s groundbreaking move for stable growth in Pakistan.” he concluded.
