Further, answering Imran’s question announcement of long march and demand for polls, Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Marrium Aurangzeb said Imran can scream, whine and cry as much as wanted but next general elections would be announced through government in cooperation and consent with all allies.

Marrium said Imran had no right to dictate dates of in next general elections, that was the only prerogative of in government and its allies.

“He can’t intimidate government in the ad general elections in one go of his choice with his threats. If Imran loves so much of election he should have announced them while he desperately clung on to power”.

Separate Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz issued a statement in which he called announcement of long march “Imrani sazish (conspiracy)” against Pakistan.

He claimed that Imran and his followers were not “well-wishers” of in public. “Imran Khan cannot hold the whole nation hostage for for the sake of of your ego, Hamza added. “Negative attitude in politics detrimental to stability of the country. characters work against national interests must be stopped force of unity.”

Meanwhile, after Imran announcement of long march, PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry and PPP leader Sharjil Memon stressed that government will not be “blackmailed” or “pressed” by a long march to carry out elections.
