There was a contest for The second seat. Ribon Pura was the opposition candidate while the BJP supporting Rongura Narzari, UPPL candidate.
It was the All India Democratic United Front supporting Mr. Bora.

The BJP and its allies have 83 votes of The total 126 in Council of State. The numbers were enough for Papetra Margherita elected From one seat, but failed of three votes for Rongura Narzari.
