COLUMBIA REGION-area forecast: cloudy and rainy today, then not so hot, but still restless

Somewhat subjective assessment of in the days weather, on scale of zero to 10.

1/10: About as hot and stuffy as Sunday with storms in mixture too. This one is not from me.

  • Today: Mostly cloudy, stuffy. Thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon. Maximums: 92 to 96.
  • Tonight: Lingering evening storms possible. Cons: 70 to 75.
  • Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with showers/storms possible, especially south of area. Maximums: 79 to 84.

Every day last a week hit at least 90 degrees and today it will probably be the same. But the cold front moving in region puts an end to the 90-degree temperature run tomorrow. However, this stalls front just to our south, keeping showers and storms in forecast to the end of a week.

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Monday counters just south of us, but close enough that the waves running over it could trigger showers and storms, especially in afternoon. As long as it stays wet (dew points around 70), we don’t see much of sun, so the highs probably only reach the upper 70s and low 80s. Mid 80s possible if there is more sun than expected. Winds are usually light. Confidence: medium

Tomorrow night: Some evening showers and thunderstorms possible then mostly cloudy skies. Lows around 70. Confidence: Medium.
