British Ambassador meets with Sindh CM discusses flood relief

KARACHI: British High Commissioner in Pakistan Dr. Christian Turner called on Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, here ARY News reports on Tuesday.

Sindh CM briefing, the British envoy said that cities and towns on law and left bank of the river flooded in flood waters.

The flood caused damage on right bank of Indus river and over 1.5 million people influenced, chief minister said a British diplomat.

” government of Sindu needs tents and mosquitoes nets for flood victims, chief minister said.

“50 containers of shelters and plastic sheets will reach Karachi in next two weeks,” Ambassador Christian Turner told Murad Ali Shah.

“We are working on complete diversion of water from agricultural land within two months and will allow the wheat crop to grow quickly after drainage of water, Sindh CM said.

“We will extend help farmers in cultivation of harvest,” he said.

” government will also restore old and natural drains,” Shah told the British envoy.
