body of teenager who missing while swimming on the Jersey Shore, found, police announced Saturday.
Alfred Williams, 19 of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, hit by surf and never came back up on Andrews Avenue Beach in Wild forest on Tuesday.
His body was found early saturday morning near palm road beach in Nearby Wildwood Crest, police said in statement.
The state forensic medical examination provides assistance with investigation.
Emergency services responded to the 911 call. call for swimmers in grief just after 16:00 on Tuesday. When the police arrived, they saw two swimmers. struggling about 100-200 yards offshore, Wildwood police said.
Firefighters managed to get to two swimmers and rescue them. At the third swimmer made it’s to the shore with help before rescuers arrive, police said.
But one day the firemen made it back to the beach they learned that Williams was still missing. Firefighters received back in water and began an “aggressive search” for his, joined members of Coast Guard, New Jersey State Police Department of Marines, off-duty lifeguards and other local rescue organizations.
The rescue mission soon turned into recovery mission.
One of the three swimmers treated at the scene were taken to the Cape Town Regional Medical Center where he was listed. in He is in stable condition, police said.
