Vacaville Police Department first posted a warning on Facebook early Monday morning warning in public of a black carry in block 200 of North Orchard Avenue.

Officers guarded the bear as students entered nearby Willis Jepson High School while three students back the entrances were closed.


Some roads were also temporarily closed, including Hemlock Street between North Orchard and Fir Street. Also, only minimal traffic was allowed on Northern garden.

Department of California of Fish and Wildlife told KCRA that “the bear is relaxing and showing no signs.” of aggression.” Officials plan to release the bear remain in in area Overnight in hope he leaves on your own. Otherwise, the authorities will euthanize him and move him to another place, according to KCRA.

At 4:40 pm, the police reported that all roads had reopened.

‘Til we find the bears in Vacaville every day, it’s not uncommon,” the police said. “Remember that the safest encounter with a bear is one we prevent – please don’t search out bear for curiosity, photos or selfies. Bring in these trash cans after being taken out.”
