Aspen Ladd facing personal tragedy, selling fight-worn gear to raise money

Aspen Ladd is reaching out to fans to help raise money to help pay for vet bills.

UFC bantamweight Aspen Ladd is asking for help. The 25-year-old fighter took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to reach out to fans who might be interested in buying some of her fight wore kits. Ladd has fallen into financial trouble following the health issues and death of her pets.

“Weird time for sure in my life, I’ll be out a minute, my beloved dog passed and my other dog needed 1 leg removed,” Ladd wrote on Twitter. “Puppy medical bills are racking up. Pictured are three fight worn UFC items I wore during my WAR’s. Feel free to DM me and make a legitimate offer.”

Ladd is most recently coming off her third-round TKO win over Yana Kunitskaya back in December. Ladd is 4-1 since coming to the UFC back in 2017 and has quickly become a force to reckon with in the 135-pound division. She was scheduled for two fight following that win against Kunitskaya, the first was against Juliana Pena in March and then Sara McMann in July. The fight against Pena was called off due to an injury to Pena and the second, against McMann was scaped due to and injury to Ladd.

Aspen Ladd isn’t the only fighter with money issues

Money trouble was been a hot button issue lately with many UFC fighters. Jorge Masvidal and Jon Jones amongst the most noteworthy who are selecting to remain from the competition due to difficulty with agreement settlements.

Ladd is currently being in the number 3 area in the official UFC rankings. She just recently spoke in an interview with MMAJunkie.com in which she describes that the injury to he knee was a major one however she hopes to return rapidly. Ladd likewise revealed her interest in combating dual champ Manda Nunes at either division.
