Barts Health NHS Trust that takes care of for boy said in letter to him parents over weekend that “all fluid infusions, medications, including vasopressin, will be stopped” at 2:00 pm. on August 1.
His parents Holly Dance and Paul Battersby asked the UN to intervene in his case, arguing that the UN Committee on rights of persons with disabilities (UNRPD) has protocol what allows families to file complaints about violations of disabled people is right.
In response, the UNRPD asked the UK to “refrain from withdrawing life-sustaining treatment, including mechanical ventilation, artificial nutrition and hydration … while the case is under committee consideration.”
However, this added that this request does not mean that the committee has reached decision on cause.
