Antigua and Barbuda to hold Republican referendum within three years says evenings | Antigua and Barbuda

prime minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Brown said that call for referendum on the country becomes a republic within three years of death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Brown told ITV on Saturday his country remain devoted member of Commonwealth, even if it eliminates the monarchy via referendum.

Brown in April called on Wessex during a trip to Antigua in April to use their “diplomatic influence” to achieve “reparations justice”, and outlined wish to one day to become a republic.

Prince Edward criticized as ‘arrogant’ for joking that he did not take notes during Brown’s comments.

Meanwhile, William and Kate were accused of listening back before the colonial days in Jamaica in March after the couple shook hands with crowds behind wire mesh fence and rode in in back of Land Rover, just like the queen did 60 years ago.

The demonstrators accused them of capitalizing on “blood, tears and sweat” of slaves until in The Bahamas urged them to recognize the British economy was “built on back” of past Bahamians and pay reparations.

Jamaica prime minister Andrew Holness, suggested to William and Kate that his country might be next become a republic minister from Belize said afterwards that perhaps it was time to “take next step in truly owning our independence.”

William admitted after the trip that the days of the monarchy in The Caribbean can be numbered as he stated future “is for in people make a decision”.
