Clash of groups opposing and supporting abortion rights violated out at the family planning clinic in Modesto, California on Saturday was cleared by law enforcement in tactical rebellion gear using pepper ball weapons, police confirmed.

Four people were detained – three were arrested for failure break up and one was released, police said.
Police said they didn’t immediately have names or affiliations of those who were arrested, although they noted that the counter-protest group showed at the demonstration in big numbers.
Clashes between rival factions took place soon after the scheduled 11:00 start of rally. Around 11:20 a.m., the Modesto police declared the assembly illegal and ordered the demonstrators to disperse.

Straight Pride is among several fringe groups, active against reproductive rights, which were hit hard when the US Supreme Court decided to overturn the landmark 1973 case of Roe v. Wade. decision which granted the nationwide right to abortion.
