So when Yeats brother shared the list in in family group On Friday, a New Orleans lawyer was blown away by this and thought, “This is crazy.”
“See weddings on plantations and events on plantations and suburbs and subdivisions named after plantations and plantation owners is what I got out everyday of my life. “It was built enslaved people and lived in enslaved people where they died from overwork, infectious diseases, hunger and grief. They died in these places,” Yates told The Post. “It was an embarrassing situation.”

He said he was “misled” about the salon and noted how Airbnb and Booking.com suspend advertising contracts with Belmont is “pending further investigation.”
“I intend to do everything in my power to correct the terrible wrong and hopefully bring back the ads on Airbnb so The Belmont can help with the most urgent demand for truth talking about history of not just the South, but the entire nation,” Houser said. in statement.
Yeats said that he know Will Airbnb apologize? amount to situations like Panther Burn Cottage shunned in in future. When asked what he would say property owners with buildings that once housed the enslaved Black people, Yeats had clear message: “Stop romanticizing experience of slavery.”
