AGP raises objections over allotment of housing officials of the Ministry of Housing

ISLAMABAD: Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) raised objections over allotment of government accommodation of officials of ministry of Housing and work including Amir Mohiuddin in chic sector of Islamabad.

Only according to documents available with Pakistan Today, AGP in its audit report for 2021-2022 states out that the ministry of Housing and jobs have been allocated government premises for their officials in violation of rules.

Rule 3(5) of posting rules2002 states that federal government servant who owns house in his own name or in title of his spouse or dependent children at the station of its publication is prohibited government housing and self-rental must be allowed of in house.

Joint Secretary (State) Amir Mohuddin, Officer of BPS-20 of The Secretariat team received the government property, Building No. 13/A, Street No. 31, F8/1 Islamabad, with effect from August 30, 2019.

Next, Deputy Secretary (Property), Officer of BPS-19 of ministry of H&W is the owner of House No. 243, Street No. 13, Black-B, CBR City of Islamabad, but allocated by the government Ownership House No. F-27, Cat.-II, G10/3 Islamabad with effect dated 01.01.2021.

The audit found that records such as general waiting list OK of competent authority for release of House No. 14-B, street 27, F-8/1 Islamabad and House No. F-27, cat.-II G-10/3 Islamabad were not submitted for verification.

The audit also noted that the appropriation of government accommodation in government Officer who own house in your name on the station of where he lived on self-employment basis was allowed in terms of rules 3(5) of hosting rules2022.

Similarly, Audit also indicated out opaque selection of government placement in the ministry of the joint secretary of Housing Muhammad Yassin Shar Baluj, Ministry of Housing as a ministry in 2019 changed his accommodation is from I-8/1 to F6/3 Islamabad.

The audit found that the letter of separation for House No. 19, Cat-II, I-8/1 was not available to the ministry of Frame. In addition, the audit found that the allocation of government housing for an officer in January 2019 or even earlier posted Karachi to Islamabad on 05.02.2018 in absence of painted letters, and general waiting list was irregular.

When contacted former Joint Secretary of The Ministry of Housing and the current CEO of the PHA Foundation, Amir Mohiuddin, said that this official a question requiring an answer at the level of the Accounts Committee of the department and the PAC.
