Travis Scott’s Experimental Film “Aggro Dr1ft” Explores New Boundaries
Travis Scott, known for his innovative and boundary-pushing trap sounds in the American music industry, is now venturing into the world of film. Just as he reshaped the landscape of American music, Scott aims to bring his avant-garde approach to his first feature film, “Aggro Dr1ft.” Directed by the American auteur Harmony Korine, the film stars Scott and is shot exclusively using infrared photography, adding to its mystique and ambiguity.
Korine, known for his provocative work and highlighting controversial and taboo issues, finds Travis Scott to be the ideal muse for his unconventionally unpredictable aesthetic. This is not their first collaboration; Korine appeared in Scott’s music video “Last Time” and directed a segment in Scott’s music film “Circus Maximus.” The meaning of “Aggro Dr1ft” remains unclear, adding to its intrigue.
