Activision Confirms New Call of Duty Game for Q4 2021

Activision has confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will be released in 2021. The game is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of this year.

“We are benefiting from a full year of Warzone, enabling upgrades to our premium content and incremental player investment, and we have the substantial opportunity to further move Black Ops Cold War community, in addition to a strong premium release in Q4 2021 Chief financial officer Dennis Durkin said at an investor meeting (via Eurogamer ).

Durkin also indicates that the number of ‘Call of Duty premium copies’ sold is probably lower compared to the previous financial year. Nevertheless, Activision expects that the turnover of the franchise will grow, partly thanks to the success of Call of Duty Mobile in China.

It is not yet officially known which developer will release a new Call of Duty title at the end of this year. A new part of Sledgehammer Games, which reportedly first worked on the game that eventually became Black Ops Cold War, or Infinity Ward are obvious.
