Accused teenager of United Kingdom terror plot took photos of police station, the court said | United Kingdom news

De la Port said that Skelton was not in dock for simply holding these views, but “how result of these views, say the prosecution, he decided to act, he began to prepare.

The prosecution said the jury would see copies of notes, messages, and a “draft manifesto” prepared by Skelton.

One note was said to echo key elements of manifesto written and sent by Norwegian far-right terrorist Anders Breivik who killed 77 people in 2011.

“It’s clear, we claim that Luke Skelton considers himself engaged in a race war,” the prosecutor said. “The note is clearly meant to be read after Luke Skelton does something. He states that the purpose of in final note to clarify reasoning for why I took these actions to hasten the coming collapse and race war. Luke Skelton expects war lead to people dying in there are thousands of them.

Another note written in 2019 as jury heard showed Skelton view was that “21st century Britain is a totalitarian state and it back in an era when everything was better. Namely 1900.

Skelton was sent by guards lead in his college to the Prevent program aimed at deradicalization people. The court heard that Skelton had eight sessions before he turned 18 and retired from the service.
