A shocking and horrific incident in the Salam area of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, during the past hours, where a young man burned his colleague in the middle of the street as a result of financial disputes. In the details, the young man “H.K” burned his colleague, a “tuk-tuk” driver named “A.T”, after the victim borrowed 3,000 pounds from the accused to make repairs in the “tuk-tuk” he owned, according to what he said. However, the victim did not return the amount on the agreed date, so the accused met him and asked him to pay the amount, then threatened him if he continued to procrastinate, according to local media.
After the victim was unable to pay, and while he was walking in a tuk-tuk on a street in the Salam area, the accused blocked his way and asked him to come down to resolve the dispute between them. When he got down, the accused took out a bottle of petrol from his clothes and set it on fire with a match then fled.
In addition, the security forces managed to arrest the accused with a bottle containing a quantity of gasoline. By confronting him, he confessed to committing the incident, and legal measures were taken, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution Office, which undertook the investigation.
