KARACHI: Sindh Minister of Education and Culture Syed Sardar Shah, on Friday said that over 52000 new teachers were hired in transparent solution. issue of a lack of of teachers in government schools of provinces.
Speaking at a press conference here at the Sindh Assembly building, he said that the process of recruitment on 60,000 vacancies of teachers has been initiated through a neutral testing service and placement orders have been issued so far on 70% available posts to suitable candidates.
Due to some problems with the offer of letters of some candidates were rejected and they will be issued after verification of documents, he said, and added what in Thatta and Sujaval Districts 70 percent of messages of teachers were left vacant.
Sardar Shah said that the publication of newly recruited teachers in schools with a lack of of teachers would be first priority for the reopening of closed schools and the resumption of the educational process in such schools.
He claimed that after new recruitment of taluks would be left without a teacher in school.
Education minister reported that the Ministry of Education informed the Civil Service Commission of Sindh for recruitment on another 4800 new vacancies of music as well as art teachers too.
Providing details of school damage building because of the flood, he said that 12,000 schools were affected and out of there are 5000 of they were completely destroyed.
Partially affected schools must undergo fitness checks for ensure in safety of children- he claimed, and promised to take action for restoration of the educational process in 15 thousand audiences.
He said that out of rupees 271 billion education budget 80% goes on salary and 15% on other expenses like government required support of international institutions for in development of education.
Early education minister also chaired the meeting on recruitment of teachers, which was attended by the secretary of school education Akbar Lagari, principals of Schools, DEO and other officers.
The meeting was informed that letters of proposal had been sent to 15,885 candidates. against 17,684 vacancies of elementary school teacher, while the proposal letters were also issued to 35,153 candidates against 40 167 vacancies of Primary school teacher.
Education minister instructed the district education authorities to attach first publication priority of teachers in schools where there was a shortage of teachers and ensure that there is no school remain closed due to lack of teachers.
