ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Wednesday reported that 400 fake accounts were being reported. on daily in country in attempt to suppress disinformation campaigns in country.
He shared the details ahead of a meeting of the Accounts Committee (PAC), which was chaired by dissident PTI leader Nur Alam Khan.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the GAC addressed the Chairman of the PTA with a question about their actions. against fake accounts on social media. “One person is operating 2,000 fake accounts and slandering institutions from them,” he said.
