Security forces killed three and detained four terrorists in two intelligence operations (IBOs). in North Waziristan District on On Saturday, according to a statement released by the military media wing.
An inter-agency public affairs statement said the high-ranking terrorist commander, along with with three other militants were taken prisoner in injured condition in in first operation. it added that three terrorists were killed in a second operation.
“Weapons, ammunition and IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) were also recovered. All terrorists (killed and detained) were bound with Hafiz Gul Bahadur group.
“These terrorists continued to actively participate in terrorist activity against law enforcers, extortion for ransom and killing of innocent citizens,” the ISPR said in a statement.
On July 13, ISPR stated that the security forCes was killed six terrorists during the IBO in Dattahel in North Waziristan area. The soldier was also tortured.
Clashes between security forces and suspected terrorists in The tribal areas of North Waziristan became quite frequent in recent months.
Late last month, two soldiers were tortured and seven terrorists killed during the exchange of fire in Ghulam Khan Kalle of North Waziristan area.
